SIEGE
is an http load tester and benchmarking utility. It was designed
to let web developers measure the performance of their code under
duress, to see how it will stand up to load on the internet. It lets
the user hit a web server with a configurable number of concurrent
simulated users. Those users place the server "under siege."
SPROXY is the siege proxy server. In order to collect URLs for siege, configure your browser to use the sproxy server. It collects all URL infomation, including POST data and GET requests, and writes them to file in a siege-friendly format.
DICK is a network / port scanner. It was named for the gumshoes of old. It can scan a network for active hosts with either ICMP echo or TCP/IP socket connects. Dick can also scan a single host for open ports.
WACKYD
is a daemon that controls the LED lights on your extended keyboard. By
default it sets the lights in motion in a Knight Rider pattern. wackyd
implements the WACKY protocol which allows it to serve as a
notification system. It listens for instructions on a local port.
